Gets more interesting later on people.

Google Docs Presentation on Youtube for school.

Youtube has changed the future of video and TV for ever, since 2005 it has grown to become the most popular online video sharing site. Over 2 billion videos are watched every day and 24 hours of footage is uploaded every minute.

Since the beginning of the year, I have been increasingly active in the youtube community: Watching videos, commenting; eventually uploading my own filmed, edited and uploaded artistic videos on my account: ThatKaiser.

Now with the formal bit done, you're probably wondering why I'm talking about Youtube on a music blog.
Well to be honest, youtube is music. Since the start there have been huge copyright fights over what is legal and allowed to be used and whats not, but really, it's all pointless. Yeh the videos are giving people free access to tracks, but then again, every viewer can now show off the tune with their friends, without telling them to buy it first: Free Publicity. As long as the artist is credited, I think it's perfectly fine to give people who make no money for what they do, access to music and loops to enhance the quality of their own work: Cause lets be honest here, royalty free music is crap.

Itunes killer? Hardly, more likely to make people BUY the track on Itunes. The youtubers who make music benefit even MORE. Im thinking Schmoyoho and WheezyWaiter's band, Driftless Pony Club. They post their music online, and still get thousands of album and song buys. Just like to point out that Driftless Pony Club is one of the best Chicago Indie Rock bands, and I recommend you check them out ON YOUTUBE :).

And the Youtubers who do make money (AD-SENSE RULES), well they're just giving the artist thousands of listens without them having to pay a penny.

For me, Im hoping to get some vlogs out as I don't really see the point of a blog compared to video blogs. Not as fun, and you get a smaller audience to show off to :). I like the fact I dont have to worry about people judging me, and it's nice and easy to get your content out... But well, youtube is incredible. Course all I have to do is get the guts to show my face.
